Overview

The MyLIMS Attendance App is designed to streamline the process of marking attendance, ensuring accurate tracking of working hours, and providing comprehensive visibility into attendance records for both employees and HR departments. Key features include geo-fencing, QR code scanning for clock-in, and automatic calculation of total working hours.

Features

  1. Clock In and Clock Out

    • Clock In: Users can mark their attendance by clocking in at the start of their workday.
    • Clock Out: Users can clock out at the end of their workday. The system will automatically calculate the total working hours based on the clock-in and clock-out times.
  2. Geo-fencing

    • The Attendance App includes geo-fencing capabilities to ensure users are within a designated geographical area when clocking in or out. This feature helps prevent fraudulent clock-ins or clock-outs from unauthorized locations.

  3. QR Code Scanning

    • Users can clock in by scanning a QR code. This adds a layer of security and convenience, allowing for quick and easy attendance marking.

User Capabilities

  1. View Own Attendance History

    • Users can access their personal attendance history to review their clock-in and clock-out times for each day.

  2. View Today's Attendance

    • Users can see their attendance records for the current day, including their clock-in time and, if applicable, their clock-out time.

  3. View Everyone Working Today

    • Users can view a list of all employees who are currently clocked in and working today. This feature promotes transparency and team awareness.

HR Capabilities

  1. Full Employee Attendance History

    • HR personnel have the ability to view the complete attendance history for all employees. This includes detailed records of clock-in and clock-out times, as well as the total working hours.

Automatic Calculations

  • Total Working Hours

    • The system automatically calculates the total working hours by comparing the clock-out time with the clock-in time. This ensures accurate and efficient tracking of employee hours.

Using the Attendance App

  1. How to Clock In/Out

    • Ensure you are within the designated geo-fencing area.
    • Scan the QR code provided at your office using MyLIMS's mobile App's QR code scanner.

    • Chose the Working place (At Office or Work from Home) and save.
    • You are Clocked in.
    • At the end of your workday, click on the 'Clock Out' button.

  2. Viewing Attendance Records

    • Navigate to the 'My Attendance' section in the app to view your past attendance records.

    • For your today's attendance, go to the 'My Attendance Today' section.

    • To see who is currently working, check the 'Working Today' section.

  3. HR Management

    • HR can access the 'All' section to view comprehensive attendance records for all employees.

Best Practices

  • Always ensure you are within the geo-fencing area before clocking in or out.

  • Regularly check your attendance records to ensure accuracy.

  • Report any discrepancies in your attendance to HR immediately.
